The Complexities of Co-Occurring Crimes and Victimization

New England Advanced Victim Services Conference

November 6, 2017; 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Killington Grand Conference Center, Killington VT

the complexities of co-occurring crimes and victimization

Overview: Because Vermont and the other New England States are small and mostly rural, training and learning opportunities need to be designed to reach a multidisciplinary audience. Victim advocates and service providers as well as law enforcement, first responders and prosecutors all need to be in the same room while learning about the complexities of Co-Occurring Crimes and Victimization, so that everyone has their primary focus on victim rights and services during all phases of the criminal justice process. When we can learn together, collaborate and communicate about these complex and often difficult cases; outcomes for victims will improve.
