Vermont Crime Victims Invited to Speak Out

The Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services is holding forums around the state this fall to hear from Vermont crime victims about their experiences in the criminal justice system.

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services is holding forums around the state this fall to hear from Vermont crime victims about their experiences in the criminal justice system.

Organizers say local stakeholders and service providers will attend to listen and provide support. Crime survivors, including business owners and family members, are invited to speak.

The forums will take place at the Brattleboro Union High School on Oct. 15, the St. Johnsbury Welcome Center on Oct. 23, the Isley Public Library in Middlebury on Oct. 30 and the Grand Isle Courthouse in North Hero on Nov. 7. All forums will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Vermonters may also provide their stories and comments in writing to victimfeedback@ccvs.vermont.gov.
